World Child Labor Day

Theme: “World Child Labor Day”

Description

This project’s central objective was to eradicate child labor by raising awareness and strengthening the role of children and adolescents. The initiative sought to raise public awareness about the negative impacts of child labor on schooling, socialization, and health, while also promoting reflection on the fundamental rights of children and adolescents.

To achieve these goals, playful and educational strategies were employed, such as discussion groups, themed workshops, and artistic productions, which facilitated dialogue, creative expression, and the collective construction of knowledge. The activities clearly addressed the difference between age-appropriate responsibilities and child labor, presenting their individual and social consequences, and encouraging young people to understand, defend, and promote the importance of guaranteeing their rights.

The project was developed in partnership with the Secretariat of Social Development, strengthening intersectoral integration and a commitment to the effectiveness of its actions. The activities were conducted based on active listening and participatory assessment, which allowed for the identification of lessons learned, the recording of experiences, and the establishment of foundations for the formulation of future actions.

This initiative is directly aligned with the Sustainable Development Goals, particularly SDGs 1, 4, 8, 10, and 16.
