International Year of Cooperatives

Theme: “International Year of Cooperatives”

Descrição

In partnership with the Sicoob Institute, the “Knowledge in Focus” program was developed. It offers in-person and online lectures covering topics such as financial education, cooperativism, entrepreneurship, and environmental sustainability, with the purpose of promoting reflection and learning on issues of social and community relevance.

In line with the International Year of Cooperatives, the Institute promoted meaningful reflections on the meaning of cooperativism, illustrating concrete examples of cooperation in various social, economic, and cultural contexts—highlighting the importance of teamwork, sharing, and mutual assistance.

To make the content even more engaging and accessible to children, playful resources were used, such as the films “Charlie and the Chocolate Factory” and “Once Upon a Dream,” whose narratives emphasize values such as solidarity, empathy, and collaboration.

The program aims, above all, to instill fundamental knowledge in children in an engaging way, reinforcing cooperative principles from an early age and encouraging a culture of cooperation and collective responsibility.

This partnership contributed especially to SDGs 4, 8, 10, 12 and 17, with a central focus on education, cooperation and sustainability.
