Theme: “The International Day of Happiness”/ “International Year of Dialogue as a Guarantee of Peace”
Description
The educational intention of the project was to develop socio-emotional skills, through didactic activities and pedagogical practices supported by valuable teaching tools, structured and organized in the Lions Quest International Program booklets.
The competencies monitored were: self-knowledge, responsible self-knowledge, social awareness, relationship skills and decision-making skills.
It aimed to contribute to the expansion of the Culture of Peace, which is in line with SDG 16, seeking effective responses to situations of conflict and violence within schools and the community, with a focus on the values adopted by responsibility, respect and dialogue as guarantee of peace.
In April, we were invited by the PEA Unesco Network, to an initiative by EAG Colege to participate in the “Peace Cloak” Project. Given the various actions already taking place in the Institution focused on the topic, participation was unanimous among all FUNDHAS Units in this action. The cloak was displayed around the Institution’s Headquarters, enabling a view of the entire local community and those who passed through there. It was a very rich moment, full of union, harmony and Peace with varied records: videos, photos and local media, which can be accessed in one of the publications through the link https://www.sjc.sp.gov.br/galerias/2023/fundhas/alunos-da-fundhas-confeccionam-manto-da-paz/ .
Continuing the theme “International Day of Peace”, Vibrating high frequency was held, awakening conscience of PEACE, with the aim of promoting reflection on the importance of the feeling of peace and making the International Day of Peace official in our Institutional Calendar, where several activities were developed at FUNDHAS Units with interdisciplinary and transdisciplinary pedagogical activities with children and adolescents on the topic of peace and also promoting an event with adolescents to expand collective awareness of peace. Among the activities on September 21st, there was the raising of a thematic flag, made for the date, educational activities carried out by the Institution, making this day official in the FUNDHAS calendar, where some records can be seen through the link:

The students participated like every year in the Peace Poster Contest, whose theme for 2023 was “Dare to Dream”, which is a global event promoted by the International Lions Club, with the aim of encouraging children aged 11 to 13 to creatively express their perceptions about peace , seeking to stimulate reflection among students, parents, teachers and the entire school community on the subject, sharing opinions and points of view, it is possible to build a world of more tolerance and international understanding. After creating the posters, the Lions clubs held exhibitions inside the headquarters and in a public place, to mobilize the local community, in addition to the virtual exhibition on the Augustin Soliva Lions club page.
To finalize the work on the theme, based on the date created by the UN in 2012, the International Day of Happiness, “Human happiness implies peace and harmony in Society” was celebrated, through conversation circle activities, activation of the butterfly archetype aiming to provide the release of serotonin, neurotransmitters and dynamics that occurred in different spaces, contributing to the development of the theme in adolescence.
