Faced with the COVID-19 Pandemic, the Nursing Technician student team contributed, as provided for in SDG 03 “Ensure a healthy life and promote well-being for everyone, at all ages”, about 25 students from the technical course in nurses from Cephas (Hélio Augusto de Souza Professional Education Center), participated in the vaccination campaign against covid-19 for public security agents.
Students have been summoned since February to apply immunization agents to the population, and this time, they provided support in the screening process in the Military Police Battalion. The experience, in a different environment, exceeded the students’ expectations and was positively evaluated by the responsible teacher.
The vaccination campaign was extended to health professionals, starting with the elderly in São José dos Campos and reaching the adult public. Participation is part of the supervised curricular internship and marks a historic moment for students and teachers.
Altogether, there are 27 students from the technical nursing course providing support in the vaccination campaign. The opportunity arose from the partnership between Cephas and the municipality’s Health Department.
